Kate Story is a writer and performer. Born and raised in Newfoundland, she presently lives in Ontario. Her first novel Blasted (Killick Press, 2008) received honourable mention from the Sunburst Award for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic, and was long-listed for the ReLit Awards. Wrecked Upon This Shore, her second novel, has been called “magical and moving” (Jessica Grant, author of Come, Thou Tortoise) and “fantastic”. (Chad Pelley, Salty Ink.com).

Kate’s short fiction has been published in Broken Pencil, Kiss Machine, by ECW Press, The Pearl, The Link, and SubTerrain. Upcoming, her story “The Yoke of Inauspicious Stars” is coming out in Carbide Tipped Pens, a hard SF anthology edited by Ben Bova and Eric Choi, published by Tor. She is currently working on a young adult fantasy novel Antilia.
